CHI D. HA, MD, FACS
Medical Director of Gateway Research Center and Highly Artistic Surgery Center
Dr Chi Ha has a strong passion for education. After highschool, he spent additional 20 years dedicating to education, scientific research, and teaching. He obtained the duel bachelor of arts degree in molecular & cell biology, and chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, CA. Dr. Ha completed his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, and his general surgery residency at Harrisburg Hospital, PA. He then became a clinical instructor in head and neck oncological surgery at Stanford University before finishing his facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship with Dr. Gaylon E. McCollough, a world-renowned plastic surgeon. In addition, he has the utmost enthusiasm to help people. During his training, he was involved in multiple world surgical missions.
Dr Chi Ha is active staff with full surgical and admitting privileges at Pomerado Hospital, Palomar Hospital, Tri-City Hospital, and Scripps Encinitas Hospitals. He also has operating privilege at Poway Surgery Center.
Dr. Ha respects the value of hard-works. He always strives for better understandings and perfection. His principle in life is to live one’s life to its fullness in all responsible ways possible.
He is married, with a daughter and a son. His family has been providing persistent supports for his prolonged and intense educational activities, and his works.
JOSEPH A. RISSER, MD
Research Consultant
Dr Risser graduated from University of Hawaii School of Medicine and Residency program. He’s currently a full-time Principle Investigator at Linda Vista Health Care Center. His main practice focus is public health and research. He’s a research consultant and Co-Principle Investigator at Gateway Research Center.

Gwen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the California State University, Long Beach. She can speak English and Vietnamese fluently, and a little Spanish, too. She is cheerful, and approachable with an unforgetable smile. At Gateway Research Center, she mainly takes the administrative roles.
ALEJANDRA ROSALES

Alejandra is a San Diego native. She is an active Air Force reserve, holding a Senior Airman ranking. She has earned multiple degrees including Medical Assistance, Surgical Technology, and Medical Office Management. She is detailed oriented. She’s fluent in English and Spanish.
THU HA, RN, BSN, CDE – Research Consultant
Thu graduated from San Diego State University, Nursing School in 2006 with Magna Cum Laude Honor. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Pomerado Hospital from 2006-2010. From 2010-present, she’s working at Linda Vista Health Care Center as a Certified Diabetes Educator/Clinical Research Cordinator. She speaks English and Vietnamese fluently. Her role is to set up the clinical structure of the research.
